Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda commended Haryana’s progress under the “double-engine government” and hailed Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s leadership. He highlighted achievements such as the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant, Dwarka Expressway, Rewari Bypass, national highway network expansion, railway projects, and the Maruti Suzuki manufacturing facility at Kharkhoda.
Nadda also acknowledged the state’s transparent recruitment system, emphasizing the fair employment opportunities provided to numerous young individuals without the need for recommendations or bribery. He praised Haryana’s initiatives in women’s welfare, healthcare, and infrastructure development, including schemes like Lado Laxmi Yojana and affordable LPG cylinders for eligible beneficiaries.
Furthermore, the Union Minister mentioned the procurement of farmers’ crops at the minimum support price, along with enhancements in healthcare through the expansion of AIIMS facilities and cancer treatment infrastructure. Nadda highlighted the significant improvements in the state’s healthcare sector due to these developments.
Nadda underscored the historical significance of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s contributions in preserving West Bengal’s integration with India. He emphasized the importance of every citizen contributing to the nation’s progress and self-reliance, reflecting Dr Mookerjee’s ideals. The Union Minister also praised Chief Minister Saini’s decision to honor Dr Mookerjee by naming the Ambala Science Centre after him and installing his statue there.
Nadda linked various national initiatives such as the abrogation of Article 370, Citizenship Amendment Act, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, National Education Policy, and industrial development to Dr Mookerjee’s vision. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for realizing Dr Mookerjee’s principles and determination. The event was attended by state BJP President Archana Gupta, former Member of Parliament Sudha Yadav, and other senior leaders.
