Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has accused Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of attempting to conceal alleged corruption by the family of former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). Kumar highlighted that Reddy, who previously claimed Rs 1 lakh crore corruption in the Kaleshwaram project during the 2023 elections, later requested a limited CBI inquiry of only Rs 9,000 crore worth of construction.
Kumar emphasized the need for a comprehensive investigation into the entire Rs 1 lakh crore Kaleshwaram project to expose KCR’s alleged corruption. He criticized Reddy for allegedly seeking a CBI inquiry solely into three barrages with flawed designs, accusing him of shielding KCR. Additionally, Kumar challenged Reddy to request a full investigation into the entire Kaleshwaram scam if he truly intends to uncover the truth.
The BJP leader further alleged collusion between KCR and Reddy, despite their public conflicts, suggesting they are working together to exploit the people of Telangana. He labeled KCR and Reddy as the twin challenges facing the state. The BJP plans to communicate with the people of Telangana about the alleged dealings between KCR and Reddy concerning the Kaleshwaram project.
