Union Minister Chirag Paswan extended his congratulations to Samrat Choudhary, expressing confidence in his ability to lead Bihar into a new phase of development. Choudhary is set to be sworn in as Bihar’s new Chief Minister, marking a significant political transition for the state.
Chirag Paswan commended the contributions of Nitish Kumar over the past two decades, acknowledging his role in advancing Bihar’s development despite challenges. Paswan emphasized that under Choudhary’s leadership, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would continue its development agenda in Bihar.
Highlighting the importance of achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India, Paswan stressed the need to focus on building a developed Bihar under Choudhary’s leadership. He also recognized Nitish Kumar’s active role in national affairs following his resignation as Chief Minister.
Paswan praised Nitish Kumar’s tenure, stating that words are insufficient to describe his dedicated work in leading Bihar forward across various sectors. Samrat Choudhary, who previously served as Deputy Chief Minister under Nitish Kumar, was elected as the new leader of the BJP Legislative Party and NDA.
The oath of office for Choudhary will be administered by Governor Syed Ata Hasnain, with the presence of senior leaders at the ceremony, including outgoing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda. Choudhary’s political career began in 1990, and he is expected to bring Bihar into a new era of development and prosperity.
