Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju recently visited an exhibition in Mumbai showcasing Bollywood heritage. He honored icons like Dharmendra, Asha Bhosle, and Raghu Rai during his visit. Rijiju praised the exhibition for capturing the essence of Indian cinema and its cultural impact.
Rijiju expressed his admiration for how Bollywood reflects India’s diversity and emotional connections worldwide. He emphasized the equal status of all citizens under the Constitution, dismissing claims of minorities being unsafe. The seminar he attended highlighted the contributions of the Parsi Zoroastrian community to India’s socio-economic fabric.
During the seminar, Rijiju reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of inclusive development for all communities. He emphasized that in India, everyone is treated equally regardless of population size or religious background. Rijiju criticized attempts to create fear among Muslims and Christians, stating that all citizens are valued equally in the country.
