Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy has pledged support for Karnataka’s development initiatives, emphasizing the separation of politics and development. He recently inaugurated a new Sainik School at Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Institution in Sindhanur, Raichur district, alongside other dignitaries. Kumaraswamy commended the Union government’s efforts, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to bolster India’s defense sector, citing the establishment of the Sainik School as part of this drive.
He expressed appreciation to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth for their roles in realizing the school in Sindhanur. The minister highlighted the fulfillment of a longstanding demand for the school’s establishment in the region, attributing credit to former minister Venkatarav Nadagouda. Kumaraswamy underscored the school’s approval as a testament to the Centre’s commitment to Raichur district and Karnataka’s overall development.
Stressing the non-politicization of development, Kumaraswamy urged collective efforts towards the state’s progress, emphasizing the need for cooperation beyond political differences. He welcomed engagement for development-related endeavors, signaling his dedication to advancing the state’s welfare. The minister also addressed demands for industrial growth in the area, expressing his support for initiatives aimed at attracting industries to the region.
Kumaraswamy reiterated his stance on the distinction between politics and development, asserting his alignment with the state government on developmental matters. He called for a collaborative approach to address significant demands such as the establishment of an AIIMS in Raichur and the construction of the Navile reservoir.
