Union Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Pralhad Joshi stated that the Congress party’s presence is limited to Kerala, with predictions of a similar fate in Karnataka’s upcoming elections. Joshi highlighted the recent Assembly election results as a clear message against misgovernance, corruption, and hooliganism, supporting the BJP-led NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The NDA secured significant wins in Assam, West Bengal, and Puducherry, attributed to what Joshi termed as 12 years of effective governance by PM Modi.
Union Minister Joshi emphasized that the Congress has dwindled as a national party, losing ground in most states except Kerala. He pointed out the party’s poor performance in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, underscoring the rejection of Congress’ policies by voters. Joshi criticized the Congress for its strategy, citing failed alliances and political approaches in various states, including Kerala and Tamil Nadu. He also condemned the party’s continuous criticism and personal attacks on PM Modi, stating that such tactics have been rebuffed by voters.
In his remarks on the Karnataka bypoll results, Union Minister Joshi criticized the Congress government for misgovernance, corruption, and appeasement. He expressed confidence that voters would reject the party in the next state election. Joshi also commented on the recent Sringeri Assembly constituency bypoll, highlighting the delayed communication of postal ballot recount results and praising BJP candidate D.N. Jeevaraj’s victory as a result of a legal battle for justice.
