The minister also mentioned the support from Parliament for the decision to slash excise duties. He noted that MPs, as representatives of the people, would appreciate the government’s efforts in this regard. Rijiju emphasized the need for unity in acknowledging and implementing such crucial decisions for the welfare of the common citizens.
Rijiju dismissed rumors of a potential lockdown and urged state governments to ensure the smooth distribution of fuel while preventing hoarding. He called for collaborative efforts between the central and state governments to maintain an adequate supply of gas, petrol, and diesel across the country. The minister stressed the importance of working together to address any challenges that may arise.
