Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan, accompanied by Union Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Arunachal Pradesh. Chouhan affirmed that the Centre and state government are collaborating closely to assist the state during the crisis.
Chouhan, after reviewing the flood situation in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, emphasized the joint efforts being made for relief and rehabilitation. He expressed solidarity with the affected families and pledged comprehensive support under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Despite the challenges posed by the floods, Chouhan commended the resilience of the people in Arunachal Pradesh. He highlighted the community’s spirit in rebuilding and fortifying their village against future floods, showcasing a strong societal bond in the face of adversity.
Chouhan, holding discussions with Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K.T. Parnaik (Retd.), addressed the need for infrastructure development, organic farming promotion, and market linkages to enhance the state’s agricultural sector. The Governor stressed the state’s agricultural potential and sought continued support for sustainable growth and development.
