Union Minister of State for Education, Sukanta Majumdar, stated that the BJP will not accept any Trinamool Congress leaders into the party. He made this declaration during an event at Vidyasagar University in Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, where certificate courses for retiring military personnel were being inaugurated.
Majumdar emphasized that the decision was final, asserting that the Trinamool Congress was corrupt and unfit for the BJP. He also commented on the internal conflicts within the Trinamool Congress, hinting at potential developments in the future.
In response to a complaint filed by Trinamool MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar against another MP, Kalyan Banerjee, Majumdar highlighted the ongoing infighting within the Trinamool Congress. He also mentioned the CID’s actions against Trinamool leaders accused of financial misconduct.
Regarding the relocation of a mosque to facilitate runway expansion at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Majumdar explained the necessity of the move for airport efficiency. He addressed concerns over a recent campus incident involving individuals claiming to be from the ABVP, clarifying the BJP’s stance on the matter.
Majumdar assured impartiality in conducting the School Service Commission (SSC) examination in Bengal, emphasizing that no one would secure jobs through political recommendations, not even from BJP MLAs.
