Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Paatil is set to inaugurate a national workshop on research and development in the water sector. The workshop aims to drive the country’s water innovation by providing a platform for the government, industry, and academia to collaborate. The event will be jointly inaugurated by Paatil and Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh.
The workshop will include various technical sessions focusing on topics like groundwater management, irrigation practices, climate resilience, and the application of advanced technologies in water governance. This collaborative effort among government, industry, and academia is seen as a significant move to enhance India’s water research ecosystem and accelerate innovation-driven solutions for sustainable water management.
The initiative is expected to promote stronger collaboration among scientific institutions, policymakers, academia, startups, technical organizations, and community stakeholders. Notable officials including Minister of State for Jal Shakti Raj Bhushan Choudhary and senior representatives from various departments will also participate in the workshop.
