Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju called on all political parties to assist in the efficient running of Parliament, emphasizing that disruptions are unproductive and a waste of public funds.
Rijiju, ahead of the Monsoon Session, appealed to parties to cooperate for a successful session, highlighting the importance of constructive participation from both ruling and Opposition sides in debates and discussions on government matters.
He stressed that a well-functioning Parliament benefits the nation, urging elected representatives to engage in robust debates rather than disruptive behavior. Rijiju emphasized the need for all parties to work together for the smooth conduct of parliamentary proceedings.
The government has organized an all-party meeting to seek cooperation from political parties for the effective functioning of both Houses of Parliament during the Monsoon Session starting on July 20 and running until August 13.
