Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar cautioned the Telangana Congress government against disrespecting faith following the recent vandalism at Puranapul temple in Hyderabad. He criticized the government’s silence on the issue, highlighting a series of similar incidents that suggest a troubling trend. Bandi Sanjay Kumar expressed concern over the desecration of Hindu temples and urged the government to take immediate action to protect religious sites.

State BJP president N. Ramchander Rao also condemned the temple vandalism, emphasizing that such incidents are part of a larger pattern of desecrations in Telangana. Rao pointed out the historical significance of the Purnapul Darwaza, where extremist elements recently defaced idols and banners. He called for a thorough investigation and strict measures against those responsible for the attacks on religious places.

MLA Raja Singh, who visited the Puranapul temple, denounced the vandalism as a deeply disturbing act that offends religious sentiments. He urged authorities to take decisive action to prevent such incidents from escalating and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and harmony in society. Singh emphasized the collective responsibility of all citizens in ensuring the security of religious sites and upholding the law.
