Union Ministers commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Rozgar Mela initiative, where over 51,000 appointment letters were virtually distributed to new recruits in government departments nationwide. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan lauded the initiative for offering opportunities to young individuals in alignment with their skills and ambitions, fostering their active participation in nation-building efforts.
The program, according to Pradhan, has effectively linked the nation’s youth potential with public service, emphasizing good governance, transparency, and equal chances. He highlighted that apart from creating jobs, the Rozgar Mela is nurturing confidence and leadership qualities among the youth, reinforcing the vision of a developed India.
Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri praised the Rozgar Mela as a significant national effort ensuring fair, merit-based, and timely recruitment for young people. Meanwhile, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal underscored India’s thriving startup ecosystem, boasting over 2.3 lakh recognized startups and ranking as the world’s third-largest startup hub.
Furthermore, Goyal mentioned India’s collaborations with global partners to foster opportunities and employment for youth, offering them international exposure. Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia emphasized India’s rapid progress, crediting the country’s youth as the driving force behind this transformation.
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh praised the Rozgar Mela for enhancing transparency and efficiency in government recruitment processes since its inception in October 2022. Singh also noted the high merit and competence displayed by candidates recruited through the Rozgar Mela.
During the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela, PM Modi reaffirmed the government’s dedication to promoting employment opportunities and empowering the youth.
