The Uttar Pradesh Police have taken action against a Telegram channel named ‘UPP Exam Paper’ for allegedly selling fake examination papers at Rs 8,000. This channel attracted candidates by sharing a QR code and bank account details to receive payments for the leaked papers. The police have filed an FIR against the channel for attempting to deceive candidates before competitive exams.
The recruitment exams in question aim to fill 32,679 constable positions in the UP Police. Authorities have initiated a thorough investigation into the Telegram channel operator and the associated bank account involved in the suspected fraud. The Hussainganj police station has registered the FIR against the channel for fraudulent activities.
Amid concerns of malpractice, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has issued a stern warning to deter any fraudulent activities during the upcoming exams. The board cautioned against individuals attempting to solve problems on behalf of candidates using forged documents, threatening severe penalties including potential demolition of their homes if caught cheating at exam centers.
To address fears of paper leaks, officials have assured that examination papers have been securely stored in strong rooms and will be transported to exam centers under strict supervision. Candidates have been advised to ignore rumors regarding paper leaks and refrain from engaging with individuals spreading misinformation, which could disrupt the recruitment process.
