US President Donald Trump stated that he does not need new approval from Congress to enforce tariffs, citing existing authorizations. Trump criticized a recent Supreme Court ruling that overturned tariffs imposed during his term.

Trump issued a warning to countries considering challenging the Supreme Court decision, cautioning of potential higher tariffs. The White House has not provided further comments, with an official mentioning ongoing work with trading partners.

India has delayed a planned trade delegation to the US in light of the Supreme Court’s tariff annulment. The postponement, decided after consultations between Indian and US officials, reflects uncertainty surrounding the tariff landscape. The delegation was set to discuss an interim trade agreement aimed at reducing Indian export tariffs and boosting US imports.
