US Secretary of State Marco Rubio Emphasizes Strong Partnership with India

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio highlighted the strong foundation for cooperation between India and the United States, stressing their significant strategic partnership. During his meeting with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in New Delhi, Rubio expressed optimism about the future discussions and engagements between the two nations. He underscored the importance of the partnership, describing it as one of the most crucial globally.

Rubio reiterated the shared interests between India and the US, emphasizing the value of their status as the world’s two largest democracies. He emphasized the need to continue strengthening their already solid strategic partnership, focusing on building upon existing cooperation. Both leaders engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing collaboration in various sectors such as trade, energy, and technology during their meeting at Hyderabad House.

External Affairs Minister Jaishankar echoed Rubio’s sentiments, expressing confidence in the open and productive discussions ahead. He highlighted the comprehensive global strategic partnership between the two countries, emphasizing the deep and broad-based cooperation that influences various regions and global affairs. Jaishankar welcomed the opportunity for dialogue in challenging times, expressing optimism about the outcomes of their interactions.
