Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath revealed plans to enhance and modernize the state police force, including a significant recruitment campaign to fill vacancies and strengthen various departments. This year, the Chief Minister aims to recruit one lakh new personnel into the Uttar Pradesh Police, as disclosed during a ceremony where 936 Head Operators received appointment letters in the Police Telecommunication Department.

The initiative not only aims to bolster law enforcement in the state but also offers employment prospects for the youth. While the recruitment drive is yet to be formalized through an official notification, recent days have seen examinations conducted to hire 41,000 individuals for UP Home Guards, with processes for Civil Police and other departments progressing swiftly.

Addressing the audience, CM Yogi emphasized the government’s commitment to conducting fair and transparent recruitment processes, urging the youth to serve the police and the nation with integrity, sincerity, and adherence to reservation guidelines. He highlighted the transformation in recruitment practices over the years, emphasizing the shift towards merit-based selections devoid of favoritism or corruption.

CM Yogi commended the state’s progress from being labeled a BIMARU state to actively contributing to India’s advancement through collective endeavors. With over 2.20 lakh personnel recruited in the past nine years, Uttar Pradesh Police stands out nationally, with recent inclusions of skilled athletes enhancing its performance in sports events.

He congratulated the newly selected candidates and encouraged them to maintain physical fitness for mental well-being, essential for delivering honest and dedicated service to society and the nation.
