In anticipation of the upcoming Ram Navami festivities on March 27, the Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, has declared public holidays on March 26 and 27. This decision aims to accommodate the expected influx of devotees visiting temples during these two days. Security preparations in Ayodhya are in full swing for the Ram Navami celebrations scheduled for March 27.
Ayodhya District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde, accompanied by senior police officials, has inspected crucial sites and finalized security, traffic, and emergency arrangements for the upcoming event. Senior Superintendent of Police in Ayodhya, Gaurav Grover, mentioned that security measures have been intensified with the deployment of both local and outstation police forces and officials since the commencement of the Chaitra Navratri festival.
The security officials have conducted a comprehensive review meeting with Commissioner Rajesh Kumar, DM Nikhil Tikaram Funde, DIG Somen Barma, and other authorities to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the Ram Navami celebration on March 27. Elaborating on the security measures, they have implemented a traffic plan, discussed emergency SOPs, and inspected significant locations like the ghats and ‘Ram Ki Paidi’ to ensure the safety and convenience of both locals and tourists.
Senior police official Praveen Kumar highlighted the ongoing preparations, including briefings, debriefings, and rehearsals for the anticipated large gatherings on March 27. Commissioner Rajesh Kumar emphasized the division of the city into sectors to manage the expected surge of devotees at places like Ram Temple and Hanuman Garhi Temple, along with the ghats. Traffic management strategies and final arrangements are being put in place to handle the situation effectively.
