Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the ‘Delhi Shabdotsav 2026’ and highlighted his government’s commitment to preserving the cultural identity of Devbhoomi. He criticized past administrations for allowing illegal constructions, leading to land encroachments in hilly areas.
During the event, CM Dhami revealed that a systematic conspiracy was behind land encroachments, with government land being illegally occupied using colored sheets. His administration conducted anti-encroachment drives, evicted squatters, and cleared over 10,000 acres of encroached land in Devbhoomi.
Furthermore, CM Dhami emphasized the importance of maintaining demographic balance and protecting holy places. He announced the closure of madrasas not teaching the state-prescribed curriculum post-July 1, 2026, to enhance minority education standards. Additionally, he warned against radical ideologies in educational institutions.
In his address, CM Dhami discussed the Ayushman Yojana’s cost overrun and subsequent irregularities, leading to the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT). He expressed his vision of creating a secure and righteous Uttarakhand by eliminating encroachments and focusing on developmental projects.
