Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodriguez is set to visit India from June 3 to June 7 for a working visit, where she will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The visit aims to discuss various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Rodriguez, who has visited India multiple times in the past as Venezuela’s Foreign Minister and Vice President, will be accompanied by several ministers during her trip. The discussions during the visit will cover a wide range of cooperation areas, including energy, trade, investment, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, transportation, and renewable energy.
India considers Venezuela an important partner, particularly in the energy and investment sectors. The visit is expected to strengthen ties between the two nations and explore opportunities for further collaboration in various fields.
PM Modi and Rodriguez have previously discussed enhancing the India-Venezuela partnership, focusing on trade, investment, energy, digital technology, health, agriculture, and people-to-people ties. Both leaders have emphasized the significance of their cooperation for the Global South.
