Veteran actress Bhagyashree recently reminisced about a memorable moment from her early married life. She shared the story of her first cooking experience, known as “Pehli Rasoi,” which took an unexpected turn in front of her father-in-law.
During an episode of ‘Tum Ho Naa – Ghar Ki Superstar,’ Bhagyashree recounted her attempt to impress her family with a unique dish for her inaugural kitchen endeavor post-marriage. She mentioned that back then, Chinese cuisine was considered quite exotic, unlike the Korean and Italian options popular today.
Bhagyashree humorously narrated how her father-in-law’s initial reaction caught her off guard. Instead of appreciating her effort, he jokingly asked for papad (Indian snack) first before tasting the Chinese meal she had prepared. Despite the amusing incident, she vowed never to cook again after that day.
Host Rajeev Khandelwal also chimed in with a similar anecdote from his own family, highlighting the traditional expectations around home-cooked meals. The show, “Tum Ho Naa Ghar Ki Superstar,” featuring such heartwarming stories, airs on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
