Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan participated in the Parakram Diwas festivities at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Birthplace Museum in Cuttack, Odisha, urging citizens to embrace Netaji’s values of Courage, Unity, and Dedication to Nation-Building.
The event commemorated the 129th birth anniversary of the revered freedom fighter, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. During his address, the Vice-President honored Netaji as a significant figure in India’s history, highlighting his role in the nation’s independence struggle and his vision for post-Independence governance.
Vice-President Radhakrishnan emphasized Netaji’s dream of a strong and prosperous India, echoing the spirit of the Indian National Army’s marching song, “Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja.” He called on the citizens to unite and work towards a developed India by 2047, drawing inspiration from Netaji’s principles of courage and dedication.
Odisha’s historical significance and cultural richness were acknowledged by the Vice-President, who praised the state’s initiatives for tribal development, improving living standards, and infrastructural growth. He expressed optimism that with effective governance, Odisha would emerge as a leading state in the country.
