India’s star batsman, Virat Kohli, has landed in Bengaluru to link up with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season starting on March 28. Kohli, a key player in RCB’s previous championship victory, aims to maintain his exceptional form from the last season, where he scored 657 runs at an impressive average of 54.75.

RCB shared a social media video capturing Kohli’s arrival at the airport and his journey in a cab, with the background theme from the movie KGF. Fans expressed their anticipation, with one admirer stating, “The king Kohli arrived in his kingdom,” while another fan added, “RCB isn’t complete without the King Kohli.”

As the highest run-scorer in IPL history, Kohli has amassed 8,661 runs in 267 matches, boasting an average of 39.54. With eight centuries and 63 half-centuries to his name, Kohli remains a formidable force in the tournament. The seasoned campaigner, who made his IPL debut in 2008, has been a loyal player for RCB throughout his career.

In other IPL news, RCB is set to kick off their campaign at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28. Following this, they will face Chennai Super Kings on April 5 in a highly anticipated clash. RCB’s initial phase will also feature matches against Rajasthan Royals on April 10 and Mumbai Indians on April 12, with the former game scheduled to take place in Guwahati.
