Tamil actor and producer Vishal has praised athlete Gurindervir Singh for setting a new record in the men’s 100 meters event at the National Senior Athletics Federation Competition 2026 in Ranchi. Clocking 10.09 seconds, Gurindervir Singh has emerged as the fastest man on the track in India. Vishal took to social media to extend his congratulations to Gurindervir Singh for his remarkable achievement.
Gurindervir Singh’s outstanding performance has garnered widespread appreciation from various quarters, including Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and the Indian Navy. The 25-year-old sprinter from Punjab, representing Reliance, not only clinched the men’s 100m title but also broke the 10.10-second barrier, a first for an Indian sprinter.
The Indian Navy, where Gurindervir serves as a Petty Officer, has also hailed his dedication and speed in achieving this milestone. Having surpassed the qualification mark for the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games, set at 10.16 seconds, Gurindervir’s feat has been lauded as a significant accomplishment in Indian athletics.
Vishal, known for his work in the film industry, is currently engaged in filming director Sundar C’s action-packed movie ‘Purushan’, alongside actress Tamannaah Bhatia.
