West Bengal Police dismissed claims of directing a school in Barasat to halt Saraswati Puja, labeling the allegations false. The police emphasized that no orders were issued to prevent any religious practices at the school. They clarified that decisions regarding educational institutions adhere to institutional norms and legal regulations.

In response to misleading social media posts, Barasat District Police warned against sharing unverified content that could disrupt social harmony. They urged the public to rely on credible sources and report any misleading information. The police emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards those spreading misinformation, emphasizing that strict actions would be taken in accordance with the law.

Amid allegations that Saraswati Puja was not conducted at Moynagadi Free Primary School in Barasat, the police refuted claims of preventing the puja. Local residents and students had planned the puja at the school but reportedly found the gate locked on the day of the event. The police clarified that the allegations of hindering the puja were entirely baseless.
