In a tragic incident in Navi Mumbai, a woman reportedly killed her six-year-old daughter because the child was unable to speak Marathi, leading to her arrest by the police. The mother initially tried to pass off the death as a heart attack, but further investigation revealed the true cause of death as asphyxiation.
The shocking crime took place in the Kalamboli suburb of Navi Mumbai, where the 30-year-old woman allegedly strangled her own daughter at their residence in Gurusankalp Housing Society. The police have taken the woman into custody and are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
The family involved in the incident consisted of an IT engineer husband and his wife, who had a B.Sc. degree. Married in 2017, they had a daughter in 2019 who faced challenges in speaking and predominantly used Hindi instead of Marathi, which reportedly angered the mother.
The mother’s resentment towards her daughter’s speech abilities was a recurring issue, with her expressing dissatisfaction to her husband multiple times. Despite the husband’s attempts to reason with her, on December 23, the woman allegedly made the decision to end her daughter’s life, leading to the tragic outcome.
The police, after questioning the parents and uncovering the truth, arrested the mother for the heinous act. It has also been revealed that the woman was undergoing psychiatric treatment, adding another layer to the investigation into the incident.
