In a disturbing incident in Telangana’s Nizamabad district, a woman reportedly murdered her husband by injecting toilet cleaner into his veins while he was receiving treatment post an earlier murder attempt. The police arrested Sandhya, along with her alleged lover Anil and his friend Venkat Sai alias Bunty, for the crime. Sandhya, a nurse at a private hospital, conspired to eliminate her husband, Dayini Prashanth (35), whom she saw as an obstacle to her extramarital affair with Anil.
The victim’s mother raised suspicions about the cause of her son’s death, leading to a thorough police investigation that uncovered the shocking details. Prashanth, who had recently returned from working in the Gulf, decided to stay back in India, which allegedly fueled Sandhya’s desire to get rid of him. Sandhya, along with Anil and Sai, orchestrated a plan to kill Prashanth, which involved injecting a lethal mixture into his IV line.
It was revealed that this was not the first attempt on Prashanth’s life. Earlier, Sandhya had allegedly pushed him off a terrace, but he survived with severe injuries. The trio then manipulated the situation to make it seem like an accident due to intoxication. Subsequently, they administered treatment and later executed the fatal injection at home. The accused tried to cover up the murder by attributing it to Prashanth’s health deterioration post the fall.
Prashanth’s mother, unaware of the events leading to her son’s death, lodged a complaint with the police, prompting the arrest of the three suspects. They have been remanded to judicial custody following their court appearance.
