A woman tragically lost her life in a devastating road accident in Delhi when a speeding loaded dumper truck struck her on the Budh Vihar–Kanjhawala Road in Outer Delhi. The driver of the truck fled the scene immediately following the incident.
Authorities from Delhi’s Aman Vihar Police Station, including the Station House Officer (SHO), arrived at the location and, after significant effort, carefully retrieved the victim’s body for a post-mortem examination. The impact of the accident was so severe that the victim’s body was badly crushed, initially making identification difficult.
The deceased has been identified as Priyanka, a resident of Rohini in the capital. Following the removal of the body from the road, traffic flow was restored by the police. The Aman Vihar Police have taken possession of the dumper truck involved in the accident and have initiated a thorough investigation, with legal proceedings currently in progress.
The tragic incident occurred shortly after a Delhi Traffic Police Head Constable was fatally struck by a speeding vehicle while managing traffic near the Singhu border, as reported by the police. In a separate incident last week, the driver of a Mercedes car was arrested by Delhi Police in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident that resulted in the death of a 29-year-old scooty rider near the Jahangirpuri Bus Stand on the Outer Ring Road in northwest Delhi.
