Defending champions from Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Odisha, Maharashtra, and Haryana emerged victorious in their matches on Day 2 of the Women’s National Cricket Tournament for the Blind 2026. The tournament witnessed intense competition among 16 teams across venues in Jajpur and Bhubaneswar.
In the matches, Kerala Women defeated Tamil Nadu Women by 10 wickets, while Madhya Pradesh secured a 7-wicket win against Rajasthan. Karnataka Women claimed an 8-wicket victory over Jharkhand, and Gujarat Women won a close match against Delhi by 1 run.
Odisha Women triumphed over Andhra Pradesh by 31 runs, and Bihar Women defeated Chandigarh Women by 37 runs. Haryana Women set a high target of 242/4 and beat Assam Women by 44 runs, while Maharashtra Women narrowly won against Uttar Pradesh Women by 7 runs.
The tournament not only showcases cricketing talent but also promotes empowerment and inclusion among visually impaired women athletes. It serves as a platform for these athletes to exhibit their skills and determination, contributing to the advancement of disability sports in India.
Key highlights of the day included Maharashtra Women posting the highest team score of 267/2, Haryana Women registering the biggest victory by 44 runs, and Kerala Women achieving the largest victory by 10 wickets. Noteworthy wins were also recorded by teams from Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Haryana, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, reflecting the competitive and high-quality cricket displayed across all venues.
