Elon Musk’s X Corp encountered a widespread outage affecting users in India, the US, and the UK. Users faced difficulties accessing their accounts and loading posts on the platform. The outage, which saw over 25,000 reports according to Down Detector, impacted 53% of app users and 16% of website users.
The cause of the outage remains unclear, with X yet to provide any comments on the issue. This incident is the latest in a series of internet service disruptions. In a similar event last year, X users globally, including in India, experienced service disruptions along with other Cloudflare-dependent websites.
Cloudflare, a key internet infrastructure provider, acknowledged and resolved the issue affecting multiple customers. Notably, Down Detector, a platform for tracking outages, also faced difficulties due to its reliance on Cloudflare. X had previously faced a global outage earlier this year, leading to user login and post loading issues.
During this outage, a significant number of users encountered difficulties logging in, using the app, and accessing the website. Despite the widespread impact, X did not disclose the reason behind the outage. Users, including those in India, reported issues accessing the platform, with over 5,000 global users facing problems, as per Downdetector reports.
