Popular rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh shared that he created the beats for his song “Payal” featuring Nora Fatehi back in 2007 and later incorporated them in 2024. In a video, he highlighted how his music transcends generations, stating, “My beats make generations move… I’m a genius… Made this beat in 2007 at Rohini my guruji’s flat and finally used it in 2024.”

Honey Singh, originally known as Hirdesh Singh, hails from Hoshiarpur, Punjab. He gained prominence in the music industry with the launch of his Punjabi album “International Villager” in 2011. One of the album’s tracks, “Gabru,” featuring J-Star, swiftly rose to the top of various Asian music charts, including the official BBC Asian charts.

The Delhi-born hip-hop artist solidified his position through collaborations with notable musicians like Diljit Dosanjh on the track “Lak 28 Kudi.” Honey Singh’s entry into Hindi music began with the song “Mastan.” His popularity soared on YouTube, with hits like “Brown Rang” and “High Heels” ranking among the year’s most trending videos. Subsequently, following the success of “Brown Rang,” he released “Angreji Beat” in partnership with Gippy Grewal.

In 2024, Honey Singh unveiled his album “Glory,” comprising 18 tracks, including notable songs like “Millionaire,” “Rap God,” and “Jatt Mehkma.” Additionally, a documentary titled “Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous” premiered on Netflix in December 2024. Recently, on May 4, the musician, recognized for hits such as “Angrezi Beat,” “Desi Kalakaar,” and “Love Dose,” shared his plans of spending time on a yacht, engaging in fishing sessions alongside beat production activities.
