In Toronto, Canada, government officials, diplomats, yoga practitioners, and community leaders came together for a Yoga session at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. The Consul General of India highlighted Yoga’s ability to unite people across different backgrounds and emphasized its universal significance for well-being and inner balance.
In Brazil, a special Yoga session was conducted by the Indian Ambassador at the Foz do Iguacu waterfalls, a natural wonder, in preparation for IDY2026. Meanwhile, in Aarhus, Denmark, the International Day of Yoga celebrations were organized by the Denmark Yoga Team at Dokk1. Ambassador Manish Prabhat shared a message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Denmark’s Prime Minister, focusing on the theme of ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing’ for IDY 2026.

In Washington, DC, hundreds gathered at the Lincoln Memorial to commemorate the 12th International Day of Yoga. The event emphasized the theme ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing,’ underlining the inclusive nature of Yoga for individuals at all stages of life.
