Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized the Samajwadi Party and Congress for politicizing the donation theft controversy at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He accused them of creating a political uproar over alleged misappropriation of offerings in cash and gold at the temple. Adityanath slammed the opposition for firing upon devotees who expressed devotion to Lord Ram before 2017.
The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 102 projects worth around Rs 690 crore in Rampur. He highlighted the irony of those who previously ordered firing at Ram devotees now speaking about faith and reverence for Lord Ram. Adityanath emphasized the public’s influence in compelling a change in the opposition’s stance on religious matters.
Adityanath targeted the opposition for questioning the existence of Lord Ram and Lord Shri Krishna in the past. He criticized the previous administration for an identity crisis in Uttar Pradesh before 2017. The Chief Minister highlighted issues such as safety concerns for daughters, fear among traders, distress among farmers, and limited employment opportunities for youth during the opposition’s rule.
