In Chenab Nagar city of Punjab province, Pakistan, a young girl was reportedly raped by a man who enticed her with a job offer on social media. The suspect, claiming to need a maid for his mother in Chenab Nagar, offered the girl a lucrative salary, leading her to meet him. Subsequently, the man, accompanied by three others, took the girl to a house on Sahiwal Road, where he allegedly raped her at gunpoint while his accomplices guarded the room.
The incident came to light when the girl’s aunt filed a complaint with the police, prompting an investigation into the matter. Despite the case being registered, none of the accused individuals have been apprehended yet. This disturbing event adds to a recent spate of similar crimes in the region, including the gang rape of a woman in a van in the Baga Sheikhan area under the Rawat police jurisdiction in Punjab province.
Following the gang rape incident, authorities have formed special teams to track down the perpetrators, conducting raids and subjecting the victim to a medical examination. The victim’s mother lodged a complaint with the police, revealing that her daughter, a 19-year-old married woman, was abducted while on her way to shop for her children’s Eid clothes. The perpetrators, including a conductor and other individuals, forcibly took the victim to various locations, assaulting her before eventually releasing her.
