A young man in Patna sustained serious injuries when bike-borne assailants shot at him on Soyma Road under the Saksohra police station area of Barh subdivision. The victim, identified as Gore Lal Yadav, was attacked by unknown assailants who fled the scene after firing at him. Gore Lal fell to the ground with gunshot wounds to his head and stomach.
Police responded to the incident promptly, taking the critically injured man to Barh Subdivision Hospital for initial treatment. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to Patna for advanced medical care. Doctors confirmed the seriousness of his condition, stating that he remains critical.
The family revealed that Gore Lal Yadav was on his way to inspect his agricultural fields when the shooting occurred. Authorities are currently probing the case to determine the motive behind the attack and to identify the perpetrators.
In a separate incident in Ghasiadih village, a simple meal turned violent when an argument broke out during dinner. Rajesh Manjhi and his friend Gopal Kumar, along with two others, were having a meal when unknown individuals arrived and began quarreling with them. The situation escalated quickly, leading to a knife attack on Rajesh Manjhi, who was stabbed multiple times in the stomach, thigh, and arm.
Gopal Kumar recounted that the assailants returned shortly after the initial altercation and launched the sudden knife attack. Rajesh Manjhi was swiftly taken to a local hospital and later referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital due to the severity of his injuries. Another youth, Amarkant Kumar, also sustained injuries during the incident.
Authorities from the Rajauli police station promptly responded to the scene, initiating legal proceedings. A case has been registered, and efforts, including the use of CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts, are underway to apprehend the suspects. Police have assured that the culprits will be apprehended soon.
