A youth in Rayagada, Odisha, named Nikhil Hadipa, was allegedly abducted and brutally murdered due to suspected past enmity. His body was discovered near the Nagavali River close to Tumbiguda, leading to tension in the area. Reports suggest that a group of unidentified individuals chased Hadipa on Saturday night, engaging in a heated argument before abducting and killing him.
The incident unfolded when miscreants on a two-wheeler and in a car allegedly confronted Hadipa late at night. Amid the confrontation, shots were fired as Hadipa attempted to escape, eventually leading to his abduction. The police were informed by local residents after finding Hadipa’s body, prompting an investigation. The Superintendent of Police, Swathy S. Kumar, confirmed the registration of a case and the identification of the accused individuals.
Rayagada MLA Kadraka Appala Swamy (Congress) expressed deep concern over the incident, criticizing the state government for the deteriorating law and order situation. He called for immediate action to apprehend all those involved in the abduction and murder of Hadipa, emphasizing the need for restoring public faith in governance.
