Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed concerns over the financial discipline of the state’s coalition government, citing a CAG report. He highlighted that the government had borrowed a significant amount of Rs 3.2 lakh crore in just two years, surpassing the YSRCP government’s five-year borrowing of Rs 3.31 lakh crore. Jagan Mohan Reddy raised questions about the utilization of these funds, noting unimplemented promises and declining state revenues.

Addressing the media, Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized the coalition government for alleged corruption, claiming that revenues were decreasing, fiscal deficit was rising, and state borrowings were escalating. He accused the government of neglecting key issues during the recent Assembly session and politicizing matters like the Tirupati incident. The former Chief Minister accused the ruling coalition of spreading misinformation and avoiding crucial questions raised by the opposition.

Jagan Mohan Reddy further accused the government of mismanagement, pointing out issues from financial irregularities to safety concerns at temples. He criticized the Chief Minister for allegedly benefiting his associates by increasing ghee prices and failing to address women’s safety issues. The YSRCP leader emphasized his party’s efforts towards women’s empowerment and criticized the current government for failing to fulfill promises related to farmers, healthcare, and education.
