Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized the N. Chandrababu Naidu government for stifling dissent in the state. Reddy highlighted the government’s actions against the YSR Congress Party’s social media accounts, calling it an assault on democratic principles and freedom of expression.
He expressed concern over the blocking of the party’s official Facebook page in India following the earlier removal of their Instagram handle. Reddy emphasized that such actions not only target the YSRCP but also undermine democratic values. He stressed the importance of exposing government failures and corruption while advocating for the right to free speech.
Reddy condemned the government’s crackdown on dissenting voices and highlighted various instances of alleged corruption and irregularities. He vowed to challenge these suppressive measures through legal means, asserting that the people’s voices cannot be silenced through intimidation or censorship. The YSRCP leader demanded the immediate restoration of their official page to uphold democratic principles.
The YSRCP extended its support to candidates alleging injustice in the District Selection Committee (DSC)-2025 recruitment process. Party leaders reassured the affected candidates of legal and political assistance, emphasizing their commitment to fighting against irregularities in the recruitment system. The YSRCP Legal Cell engaged with the candidates to gather necessary information for legal recourse.
