India’s legspinner Yuzvendra Chahal has dismissed rumors about his involvement in a reality show, labeling them as “speculative and factually incorrect.” Reports suggested Chahal’s potential appearance on ‘The 50,’ a forthcoming reality TV program, alongside his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma, whom he married in 2020 and later separated from. The show, ‘The 50,’ is set to debut on February 1, introducing a fresh format to Indian reality television.
Chahal took to Instagram to clarify the situation, emphasizing that the circulating reports regarding his supposed participation in the reality show are baseless. He stated that he has no association with the mentioned show and has not engaged in any discussions or commitments related to it. Chahal urged both media outlets and social media users to avoid spreading unverified information.
The cricketer’s upcoming appearance will be in the Indian Premier League 2026, where he remains with Punjab Kings following a significant Rs 18 crore deal during the IPL 2025 auction. Notably, in 2024, Chahal achieved a milestone by becoming the first player in IPL history to secure 200 wickets. Additionally, he was part of the T20 World Cup squad in 2024, contributing to India’s championship victory.
