Actress Zoya Afroz recently revealed how her dedication led to a significant opportunity in Neeraj Pandey’s crime thriller series, “Taskaree.” Zoya, through Instagram, posted images from the show’s sets, depicting the story of an Indian Customs Service team combating an international smuggling syndicate at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. She recounted receiving a sudden audition call while visiting her mother’s hometown in Assam after 12 years.
Zoya’s journey to audition for Neeraj Pandey’s Netflix series involved a 16-hour trip from a remote location nearly 3,000 kilometers away. Despite the challenging circumstances, she swiftly packed and made it in time for the audition, which ultimately led to her realizing her dream role. The series also features Emraan Hashmi, Sharad Kelkar, Amruta Khanvilkar, Nandish Sandhu, and Anurag Sinha.
Reflecting on the intense schedule, Zoya highlighted the swift transition from audition to set, where she had to immediately immerse herself in her character’s seven-episode arc. She emphasized the significance of silent perseverance in honing one’s craft over the years, ensuring readiness when the right opportunity arises. Zoya expressed gratitude for the team’s unwavering support and determination in making her involvement possible.
