Kolkata, Dec 20 (IANS) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has made it clear that district magistrates (DMs), who also function as district electoral officers (DEOs), will not be the controlling authorities of the micro-observers to be appointed for supervising hearing sessions on claims and objections to the draft voters’ list in West Bengal, scheduled to begin next week.This means the micro-observers will neither be answerable to the DMs or DEOs nor bound by any instructions issued by the…
