Kolkata, Feb 26 (IANS) Sumitra Chattopadhyay, a fifth-generation descendant of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, the writer of India’s national song, Vande Mataram, and the iconic Bengali poet-cum-writer, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday.
