A 12-year-old student at a Bengaluru residential school passed away under suspicious circumstances, sparking allegations of teacher assault and family protests. The student, Gurukiran, a Class 6 pupil at a prominent school in Kadayarappanahalli village, collapsed while jogging on campus early in the morning. Despite being informed of his illness and hospital transfer, his parents found him deceased upon arrival.
The family claims Gurukiran was physically attacked by teachers using iron rods and sticks, attributing his death to pressure at the residential school. Gurukiran’s father expressed suspicion, stating that the school’s explanation of his collapse seemed dubious. Allegations surfaced that the physical education teacher was involved in the assault, with the police accused of protecting the teacher.
Following the incident, Gurukiran’s family and relatives protested outside the school, demanding a thorough investigation into the alleged assault. The family criticized the school for failing to provide CCTV footage and questioned the management’s narrative of the events leading to Gurukiran’s death. Tension escalated as parents reportedly confronted the physical education teacher, leading to police intervention and an ongoing investigation into the tragic incident.
