The Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab media in-charge, Baltej Pannu, criticized the ongoing infighting in the Congress, calling it a display of the party’s political bankruptcy. Pannu alleged that the Congress, BJP, and Shiromani Akali Dal have united to attack Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann due to their inability to counter the government’s remarkable achievements. He highlighted the coordination between the Congress and BJP, labeling them as “Team A, B, C” solely focused on undermining CM Mann.
Pannu further remarked on the BJP’s transformation in Punjab, stating that it has essentially become a faction of the Congress with several former Congress leaders now leading the party. He emphasized the dwindling presence of the original BJP leadership and the eagerness of more Congress members to switch sides. Pannu also referenced a meeting between senior Congress leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, suggesting its political implications and highlighting recent developments benefiting Punjab residents.
The AAP representative pointed out significant achievements of the AAP government, such as the provision of free power up to 600 units resulting in zero electricity bills for nearly 90% of households, uninterrupted daytime electricity and canal water for farmers, and the initiation of financial aid to millions of women. He noted that eligible beneficiaries would start receiving their entitlements from August 1.
