The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Jaipur apprehended a municipal corporation Jamadar while he was reportedly taking a bribe of Rs 50,000. The incident occurred at the Jaipur Municipal Corporation where the accused had purportedly demanded Rs 2 lakh for processing a property lease deed (patta). Currently, the ACB is conducting an interrogation of the accused.
ACB Director General Govind Gupta stated that the operation took place on Thursday afternoon at the Jaipur Municipal Corporation. The arrested individual has been identified as Ramsingh Yadav, a 28-year-old son of Moolchand Yadav from Shrimadhopur in Sikar district. Yadav served as a Jamadar in the Lease Deed (Patta) Branch of the Hawa Mahal-Amer Zone of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation.
A complainant approached the ACB, alleging a delay in issuing a lease deed (patta) in his father’s name by the corporation. The complainant claimed to have made numerous visits to the municipal office over an extended period in an attempt to obtain the lease deed. During this period, Yadav allegedly requested Rs 2 lakh to expedite the file processing.
After verifying the complaint and the alleged bribe demand, the ACB set up a trap. The complainant was sent to the accused with Rs 50,000 as the initial installment of the purported bribe on Thursday afternoon. Upon accepting the money, Yadav was caught red-handed by the ACB team and subsequently arrested. The accused is currently undergoing questioning, with further investigation in progress.
