Acting on the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Headquarters’ orders, the ACB Jaipur City-IV Unit conducted a trap operation and apprehended two Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd. (RIICO) officials red-handed while taking bribes. The accused individuals are Anjay Vishwakarma, Senior Deputy General Manager at RIICO, Ajmer, caught accepting Rs 50,000, and Kamlesh Gurjar, a 26-year-old Junior Assistant at the RIICO Sub-Unit in Beawar, caught accepting Rs 35,000.
Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Govind Gupta, mentioned that a complaint was received by the ACB Jaipur City-IV Unit, alleging that a bribe was demanded for processing a lease deed and land-use conversion for an industrial plot in the RIICO Industrial Area, Beawar. Anjay Vishwakarma had demanded Rs 50,000 on July 7, 2026, for the work, while Kamlesh Gurjar had asked for Rs 35,000 on July 6, 2026, for the same purpose.
Following the complaint verification, a trap was set by the ACB under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General-II Om Prakash Meena in Jaipur. The operation was carried out by Additional Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Gupta and Additional Superintendent of Police Gyan Prakash Naval from ACB Jaipur City-IV and City-III, respectively.
Both accused individuals were caught red-handed accepting bribes of Rs 50,000 and Rs 35,000. The questioning of the accused is ongoing under the supervision of Director General Govind Gupta, Additional Director General Smita Srivastava, and Inspector General S. Parimala. Legal proceedings are being pursued by the ACB, and a case will be registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act for further investigation.
