Actress Anjana Sukhani shared her insights on working in various Indian film industries, emphasizing the diverse nature of Indian cinema. She pointed out the distinctiveness of each regional industry, highlighting differences in storytelling styles between Bollywood and South Indian cinema. Anjana mentioned that while Hindi films target a wider Indian audience, regional films are deeply rooted in their specific cultures and languages.

Anjana Sukhani acknowledged the differences in storytelling approaches between Hindi and regional cinemas, noting the cultural and linguistic focus of regional industries. She expressed appreciation for the diversity present in Indian cinema, stating that it contributes to the beauty of the industry. Anjana also highlighted the opportunities actors have to work across different languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Having primarily worked in Bollywood, Anjana Sukhani has also ventured into Telugu and Kannada cinema. Her filmography includes popular movies like “Salaam-e-Ishq,” “Golmaal Returns,” “Jai Veeru,” and “Jashnn.” She made her Kannada debut with “Maleyali Jotheyali” and appeared in the Telugu films “Don Seenu” and “Naa Oopiri.” In 2016, Anjana entered Marathi cinema with “Laal Ishq,” opposite Swapnil Joshi.

Anjana Sukhani recently starred in Imtiaz Ali’s film “Main Vaapas Aaunga,” alongside Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, and others. The movie, which also featured Banita Sandhu and Rajat Kapoor, was released in theaters on June 12, 2026.
