Afghanistan’s bowlers, led by Azmatullah Omarzai’s impressive 4-15, limited UAE to 160/9 in their 20 overs during the Men’s T20 World Cup Group D clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Omarzai’s skillful bowling, supported by Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan, prevented UAE from posting a high score.

UAE’s innings saw a partnership between Alishan Sharafu (40) and Sohaib Khan (68) that stabilized their performance after early setbacks. Sohaib’s aggressive batting, including five fours and two sixes, helped UAE reach 160 despite losing wickets towards the end.

Although UAE’s middle-order showed promise, Afghanistan’s bowlers, especially Mujeeb and Rashid, maintained pressure. Sohaib Khan’s fifty and contributions from other batsmen pushed UAE to a competitive total, with the last five overs yielding crucial runs.

Aryansh Sharma’s early luck ran out as he fell victim to Mujeeb Ur Rahman after surviving an initial appeal. UAE’s innings gained momentum through aggressive strokes by Sohaib and Sharafu, challenging Afghanistan’s bowlers. Despite a late surge, UAE managed to post 160/9 against Afghanistan.
