Ahan Shetty shared insights on his intense military training and challenging action scenes for his character in “Border 2.” He highlighted the physically demanding experience of shooting at NDA Khadakwasla in Pune, emphasizing the transformative impact it had on him. Training at authentic military sites like this, according to Ahan, required genuine dedication to match the environment’s authenticity.
His daily routine remained consistent across various locations, including Pune, Amritsar, Khopoli, and Mumbai. It involved strength training, sports activities like football and cricket for agility and cardio endurance, and a strict recovery regimen comprising ice baths, steam, sauna, and red light therapy. Ahan stressed the importance of recovery, stating that it was as crucial as the training itself, especially when filming rigorous combat sequences regularly.
Portraying a Navy officer in “Border 2,” Ahan Shetty faced real physical challenges while shooting at military installations. Dealing with actual terrains, weather conditions, and the demands of tactical sequences required a combination of strength training and cardio endurance gained from sports activities. The actor highlighted the significance of these preparations when filming combat scenes in extreme heat or while donning tactical gear for extended hours.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the upcoming war drama also features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, “Border 2” is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 23, 2026.
