The late legendary actor Dharmendra was not just a screen icon but also a heartthrob for many. Akshay Kumar shared on a celebrity chat show that during his early struggles in Bollywood, he admired Dharmendra as his favorite hero. Akshay praised Dharmendra’s manly qualities, stating that he could watch him for hours.
Host Farooq Sheikh chimed in, mentioning that many women also admired Dharmendra’s qualities. Akshay and Dharmendra worked together in the 1995 film “Maidan-E-Jung” alongside Manoj Kumar, Jaya Prada, and Karisma Kapoor. Known as the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, Dharmendra passed away last year at the age of 89.
Born in 1935 in Punjab, Dharmendra was discovered through a talent hunt competition and went on to star in hits like “Phool Aur Patthar” and “Seeta Aur Geeta.” His charm and charisma made him a beloved figure in Hindi cinema.
